Overview of the webinar

Operations is where processes, data and people meet, and it is one of the functions that benefits most from AI that can actually do the work rather than just answer questions. Claude Cowork is an AI agent from Anthropic that runs in the Claude desktop app. With permission to access selected folders, it reads spreadsheets, PDFs and documents, breaks an operational request into steps, and produces finished, review-ready outputs.

This session follows a single running case study of an operations team through a typical week. Participants will see Cowork consolidate daily operations data from several Excel files into one clean tracker, reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders and flag mismatches, convert rough process notes into a structured SOP, and turn the week’s numbers into a KPI report with a management summary and slide deck. The session also shows how to schedule a recurring operations brief so it is ready before the day starts.

Beyond the demonstrations, participants will learn how connectors, plugins and skills extend Cowork into email, calendars and cloud drives, and how to capture their team’s standards so every report follows the same format.

Because operations data drives real decisions, governance runs through the session: controlling folder access, protecting sensitive vendor and customer data, validating numbers before they are shared, and keeping a human approval step in every workflow. Attendees will leave with a clear method for picking, piloting and scaling their first operations automations.

Why should you attend?

Operations teams keep the business running, yet much of their day goes into manual work: consolidating data from multiple Excel files, reconciling vendor invoices against purchase orders, updating SOPs, chasing exceptions, and rebuilding the same weekly KPI reports. This work is essential, repetitive and error-prone.

Claude Cowork, Anthropic’s AI agent for the desktop, can take much of this off your plate. It works directly with the files and folders on your computer, plans multi-step tasks, and delivers finished Excel trackers, Word reports and PowerPoint decks. In this session you will see real operations tasks automated live, with no coding involved. You will learn how to hand off operational work to Cowork safely, how to verify its outputs before they reach stakeholders, and how to turn recurring reports into scheduled automations. You will leave with use cases you can apply to your own operations the same week.
